The Good, the Bad, and the Beautiful.....

The GOOD: February is here!  My favorite holiday (Valentine's Day is on the 14th) has come around again.  I couldn't be any happier this year.  I came home for the weekend because my Dad had a Super Bowl party.  I flew back in Friday night.  I was so excited to be home.  It seems like the time has gone by so quickly and I already have to go back to Utah tomorrow :( I'm extremely sad.  I have been able to hang around my family so it's been really nice and fun.  I miss my family so much when I'm not here in New Mexico.  They are my joy and life.  Today, everyone is either at work or in school so I get to spend some time by myself.  It's more of a time to help me remember who I am and where I'm coming from.
The BAD: Actually to be honest, the last few days has helped me to come back to the simple things in life.  I feel like right now it's the time to make some goals come to life.  I need to do something about it.  I am feeling this urgency right now and I need to do something better with my life to prepare myself for the future.  My parents didn't raise me to stand idle after a goal is being made.  They have supported me through many trials in my life and continue to be there, but I know I need to be responsible and do what i have been set out to do....start praying like I have never prayed before.  I feel so ashamed even admitting this, but I feel as if I rely heavily on my parents that I forget I have a loving Heavenly Father who is waiting for me to ask Him for help.  I know things will go a lot smoother in my life if I would just get down on my knees and pray.  I saw a quote that said, "Why worry when you can pray."  Sooooo TRUE! I feel better already knowing that I need to be more gospel oriented. :)
Here are a few pictures from the weekend to share how happy I am...Here is all the BEAUTIFUL:

My favorite picture is the one with my Dad and I.  Totally in LOVE with this picture.  The pictures of my niece too.  So cute!!!  Love them so very much.  My niece, Sirae, was not so happy. ha ha.  I woke her up from a nap and she was a little upset and quiet.  Her pictures show that she was not willing to give me a smile.  Poor thing.  ha ha!  I love my family and my babies so much!  Everything I do is for them.  They are my joy and my strength in my life.

Until next time,

Lauren

Christmas baby :)

Oh my cuteness!!!  My baby is already growing up too fast for me.  My baby Sirae will be 4 months old on the 31st of December which is fast approaching us.  I have a few updated pictures of this sweet, precious baby.  Sirae is alert and she smiles at people she knows.  She is starting to notice people and sometimes she will start crying if she doesn't know you.  One thing that has become apart of her life....her binki or pacifier...Whatever you want to call it.  My sister and brother in law went to a work Christmas party and my sister was in charge of watching her.  Sirae is breastfed and has never had the bottle.  Tracie provided a bottle and pacifier for us.  Well Sirae decided to take the pacified which became her best friend.  Here are a couple of pictures of her with her pacifier in her mouth.  She adores her pacifier and starts crying when it's not in her mouth.  This is the very first picture of her with her pacifier in her mouth.  So stinking cute! This picture was taken on December 16, 2011.  Isn't she so previous?
The next few pictures are of Sirae at our family Christmas party.  She wore the cutest outfit ever.  So stinking cute!  I got her outfit from Target.  I love Target clothes.  They always look so cute on her.  Because Sirae is growing super fast, she now fits into 9 month old clothing.  I NOW have to plan for the future and start buying her 12 month old clothing.  She is more chubby but mainly long.  Here are a few pictures of Sirae and I at the party.
The next set of pictures are of Sirae taken on Christmas day which is of course December 25, 2011.  I decided to buy her a Christmas pajamas since no matter what she wears, she always looks so cute.  Loving her outfit and bow.  I love wearing bows and I decided to make my own bow for Christmas.  My mother thinks i'm crazy, but whatever.  Sirae is once again stuck with her pacifier in her mouth.
This last picture of my baby is the day after Christmas.  My mom and I visited my sister and her family.  We found Sirae in her outfit sleeping.  I thought it was so cute.  She was so comfy.  of course we found her pacifier in her mouth.  Before her pacifier existed, she used to suck on her fingers or hands.  It was quite entertaining.  I thought this picture was funny because it shows how upset she was at me for waking her up. She is still precious and cute.  I love her very much and
continue to love her more every time I see her when I come back to NM.

Well this concludes the update with my baby Sirae.  I can't wait to start comparing pictures of her when she turns 5 years old or older.  She is so loving and beautiful.

Until next time,

Lauren

Walgreens fun

So this past Wednesday, Ali and I, went to dinner and then decided to go to Walgreens. It was so much fun! We didn't expect to have so much fun there like we did. We were busy looking around and found some candy cane pens where the ink smelled like peppermint. The pens were 3/1.00 which surprised me. I bought 6 pens and have never regretted that choice. Ali and I began looking at the crazy, cheesy headbands. Ali and I ended up getting the antler headbands. So funny. We look back and think that we should have gotten the elf ear headbands. We found our headbands when we saw these interesting Santa hats. I need to upload the videos we took. It was so funny. The bells on the hats would bounce right to left and music would be playing. Ali, at first, was a little uncomfortable and you could tell on the video, but on the next video, she got pretty festive. It was sooo funny. I laughed so hard especially after a dinner like the one we had.
I'm so glad to have been able to spend the night with my best friend forever. She is so awesome and is always making me laugh. We are both currently dating wonderful guys and we always tell each other we date during the week and then date our boyfriends on the weekend. So funny! I love you Ali and am thankful for your continued kindness and friendship. :)
So next time you are trying to figure out what to do, go to Walgreens and look at what fun things they have to do. You might be surprised.

Until next time,

Lauren
